Sign Istanbul was the “guest of honour” at D-PES Fair

D-PES Digital Printers and Engravers Expo was held at Guangzhou, , Poly World Trade Center Fair Center on 18th – 21st February 2013. The guests of honour at the fair also included IFO Fair Organization Inc. Executive Board President Selahattin Durak and Vice-Managing Director Zekeriya Aytemur.

Selahattin Durak took part in the opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony of the fair besides the fair organizers Guangzhou DPES Company, CIPTU (China Industrial Digital Printing Technology Union),CEEIU (China Engraving Equipment Industry Union) and CPEIA Inkjet Printing Unit representatives. In his statements Durak said “In 2012 I participated in APPPEXPO Sign Fair held in Shanghai as the special guest of CSA (China Sign Association) President Zhang Dingguo. I believe that the reason why we have been honoured in this manner at DPES Fair this year is that Chinese technology and material manufacturers attribute a great deal of importance to Turkey and its region market as well as the fact that Sign Istanbul is the largest fair organized every year in its respective region including Europe”.

Aytemur who commented on the Sign Istanbul 2013 efforts that took place in their booth throughout the fair stated “As you know, we had previously exhibited at APPPEXPO which was held in Shanghai and organized by Tarsus Group -of which we are a subsidiary- as the International Co-Organizer. Following the fair CSA President Zhang Dingguo came to Sign Istanbul 2012. During the fair a cooperation agreement was signed with CSA and CSA was appointed as the sole authorized organization for the Chinese Pavilion that would be opened at Sign Istanbul. Therefore the main reason we participate in Chinese fairs is not find new exhibitors but to focus on professional visitors.  Because Chinese fairs can attract professional visitors from all over the world including the region of Sign Istanbul where it is dominant”.

Aytemur who said “With its existing domestic and foreign visitor number and profile; Sign Istanbul is a fair that more than satisfies its exhibitors for the time being” also added that the main objective of their activities is to prepare in advance for the changes expected in the industry in the medium and long term in addition to the increased expectation with regard to the international identity of the fair as a result of such changes.  In relation with their future plans Aytemur explained “ We make great use of Tarsus Group of which we are a subsidiary while planning our medium and long term preparations. The co-organizer experience coming from and the APPPEXPO Fair and the main organizer experience coming from world’s largest “Label and Packaging Printing” Fair Labelexpo which might well be called the flagship of Tarsus Group, enables a very useful know-how exchange about the Sign industry”.

Sign Istanbul 2013 is held at BeylikduzuTuyap Congress and Fair Center on 28th November-1st December. İpek Saltık, the Project Manager of the Fair, said “Like every year, Sign Istanbul 2013 will open its doors on 28th November as a fair that will meet the expectations of our exhibitors and professional visitors. We are also highly motivated and excited this year as we are celebrating our 15th anniversary therefore I believe we will hold an organization that will exceed the expectations. As the whole team we made all the planning which will bring this and we had already started to work for 2013 even before the 2012 fair was over”.
