The 18th edition of The International Advertising Industry and Digital Printing Technologies Trade Fair - SIGN Istanbul 2016, took place from September 29 - 2 October2016. Organized by İFO Fuarcılık, the fair was hailed a major success after attracting a record number of professional visitors. As the biggest fair of its kind in Eurasia, SIGN Istanbul 2016 hosted 21,869 professionals from 62 countries including Turkey and boasted a ratio of international visitors of 12.8%. Reflecting this record performance, most exhibitors have already confirmed their stands for SIGN İstanbul 2017 as the fair remains an important driver of the sector. The 19th edition of SIGN Istanbul where the newest products and technologies covering 212 different categories under 7 main titles, will be exhibited from 4-8 October, 2017.
The 18th edition of SIGN Istanbul, hosted the latest and most innovative products and technologies in the fields of Digital Printing, Textile Printing, Visual Communication, LED & LED Display, Industrial Printing, 3D Printing and Promotion. The fair delivered commercial opportunities and many possibilities for new cooperation between the exhibitors and professional trade visitors with authority to plan and make purchasing decisions. From day one the fair saw active negotiations among the participants and on the first day of SIGN Istanbul 2016, TL 10 million in new machine sales was realized.
New generation 3 dimensional printing technologies and the backstage of industrial advertising ‘‘Workshop SIGN Istanbul’’ were organized in the same hall!
SIGN Istanbul hosted a number of special events again this year. The second edition of 3D Printshow Istanbul attracted intense interest as many different objects that can be produced with 3 dimensional printing technologies e.g. chairs, project models, toys, car rims, shoes, helmets, limb and tooth prosthesis etc. were exhibited, to visitors from a wide cross section of sectors. Also, a number of free conferences were organized for visitors which gave practical insights into turning opportunities arising from new technologies into commercial applications. Another event that was held in the same hall as 3D Printshow Istanbul was the traditional SIGN Istanbul Workshop which allowed visitors to see industrial advertising applications. Practical demonstrations gave tips to the audience that are not commonly known for industrial advertising production as well as vehicle wrapping, LED applications, sign and sign-letters production.
