The latest innovations in digital printing on show at Sign Istanbul 2013

Such diverse industries from textiles to construction and automotive to furniture have turned to digital printing technologies for their custom-made needs.

The application of digital printing technologies which have become a mainstay of the commercial  advertising, signage  and promotional sectors, are now indispensable to an increasingly wide range of manufacturing industries and in particular those moving  towards more tailor-made design and production.

Digital technologies can print the desired designs on many different surfaces from folio to fabric, from glass to metal and from plastic to wood in a fast, practical and affordable manner. This offers significant advantages for those companies focused on custom-made production. For example, a decorative textile supplier can tailor-make material with the individual graphics specified by a customer at affordable cost. In the automotive sector, it possible to cover a whole vehicle with unique and digitally printed folio material bespoke to a particular customer.

According to an analysis of the industry, there are some four thousand digital printing machines already in Turkey making it the transfer hub of the region with an average annual production of some twenty five (25) million sqm.

Many working displays of these latest technologies will be exhibited at Sign Istanbul 2013.

The digital printing used by companies with points of sales and/or services in the signs, windows etc. have also become a common method for custom-made production as well as outdoor or indoor advertising applications.

As competition intensifies, those companies that can offer their customers tailor-made solutions will gain a competitive advantage and as such will increasingly turn to the applications of digital technology to deliver this advantage. Its versatility in being able to produce short run, highly personalised designs on a variety of materials at low costs, will ensure that digital printing continues to grab an ever greater market share of the commercial advertising and outdoor promotional market.

Those companies looking to build brand awareness will find a host of innovative and creative advertising and promotional initiatives from the suppliers of digital printing technologies at SIGN Istanbul 2013.

Turkey’s role as the region’s digital printing hub will again ensure that this year’s SIGN Istanbul will be the largest and most comprehensive fair for the sign making, printing and outdoor advertising market.
